Colours of the Wind.

It's a Friday, thank goodness. Had Christian Union meeting, as usual. Collected bottles with 'Emperor' Xi Men for the Sivik recycling project. FINALLY passed up the idiotic Sivik community service report which was the main cause as to why I lost out on hours of precious sleep on Wednesday and Thursday.

To everyone:
My music exam was fine, I was too panicky and had to be calmed down by the examiners. =O

On to the usual pictures.

#4 : March 19th, 2009.
Before going for the all-important music exam. Mom told me to wear a dress, so I did.

This one is taken after my music exam, before I went out for dinner. I was SO TIRED. That's why I had a grouchy expression on my face the whole night.

#5 : March 20th, 2009.
Went out to National Library for my History project. I think they were having some sort of poster exhibition.

Gan, Jo, Kay-E, Vindhya and I went to the National Library for like, two hours. After the rest had departed, Gan and I were bored so we decided to visit Jo Ann and stalk Kim afterwards.

We were playing Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. I'm so violent now, eh?

After countless rounds of robbing cars, evading policemen and killing random people, the downpour of rain stopped and we ran out to stalk Kim. Gan didn't exactly remember the street number, so we were forced to walk about five rows before finding Kim's house. I rang the doorbell and asked for Kim.

Jo and her happy rainbow-coloured umbrella :)

Apparently, Kim was asleep, but we went into his house anyway :D Waited for a bit for him to freshen up and talked about random stuff. Then, we decided to go back to Jo's house and Kim tagged along.

Aw, they look so happy together :3

By the way, the pictures for this day are rather low-quality ones because I didn't bring out my camera =( so I had to use my crappy phone camera.

#6 : March 21st, 2009.
I was being strangely hyper at 2am in the morning. It was all because I was chatting online with Kim. *glares at Kim*
I know I look weird in my specs :D

The overrated peace sign. Crappy phone camera used.

#7 : March 22nd, 2009.
There was a gold-flecked cloud in the sky :D

Pink clothes ._.

#8 : March 23rd, 2009.
-_- 9 ringgit in 50 sen coins.

#9 : March 24th, 2009.
I'm addicted to Disney's Pocahontas.

#10 : March 25th, 2009.
Happy bedside lamp :D

#11 : March 26th, 2009.
Kim wants everybody to know that he isn't into yaoi (gay). Instead, he's into yuri (lesbian) XD

My uber cute badge.

#12 : March 27th, 2009.
Bought another badge, in conjunction with the school's Go Green Week conducted by the Interact Club.

To all Malaysians, remember to turn off all your lights at 8.30pm until 9.30pm on the 28th of March for Earth Hour.

Leave on your lights and it's a vote for global warming. Switch them off and it's a vote for Earth.

Vote for EARTH.

Purple Line.

Decided to do Project 365, thanks to er... Jo's positive support.

Also changed my blog header to commemorate the fact that my onion for the science assignment is finally poking its shoots out of the soil :) I was so friggin' worried it died or something 'cause there was like NADA leaves. Only a straggly bunch of white coloured spaghetti-like 'tubes' poked out. Then yesterday, I sniffed the strange things and realized that they were onion roots -.- So I guessed I probably planted the onion bulb upside down, that's why there weren't any shoots.

I replanted the whole thing (mind you, it was a tricky job, there was a friggin' FRAGILE mass of roots) and prayed for the best. The shoots popped out grew overnight :D Whew.

Okay, moving on. Project 365.

#1 : March 16th, 2009.
My repertoire list for my Grade 6 Course A electone/organ exam on 19th March =(

I suck at writing Japanese titles, as no. 4 and 5 proves.
Pray that I'll pass this exam and make it into Grade 5, the teacher's grade.
I want a Merit this time =) (because so far I've only got passes =.= I'm not fantastic in playing)

For those unfamiliar with the electone instrument or more commonly known as the organ, it looks like this :

Yamaha STAGEA. I want this please. But it's friggin' expensive.

More info here :

My goldfish painting. About 80% finished.

Currently addicted to DBSK's Purple Line. Old song, but still awesome.

To do or not to do : Project 365.

Okay, so I was surfing around like the weirdly free-willed spirit I am around the World Wide Web, blog-hopping, finding info for my projects and so on. Then, I stumbled upon Project 365, a project that is basically about, well, taking a photo everyday. I Googled the project and ta-da!

Here's the article. (from

People will often say that their whole lives flashed before their eyes after they experienced a traumatic event. Perhaps it’s a bit morbid, but we think that sounds pretty incredible.

When Taylor McKnight started taking a photo a day on January 1st, 2004, he never imagined the project would not only serve as a way to remember a year, but also help him understand what was important to him in his life.

Whether it was his relationships, his career, or his fashion sense, recording a photo a day for a whole year left him with a rich visual history of his life. And it made him a better photographer to boot!

Now that he’s in the middle of doing it for a second time, we asked Taylor to write about it for us. Read on for our tutorial on how and why to create your own daily photographic history.

Why do it?

Taking a photo a day is a big undertaking with big payoffs. Here are just a few reasons why you should consider doing it:

  • Imagine being able to look back at any day of your year and recall what you did, who you met, what you learned… (Often we find it hard to remember what we did just yesterday or even last night, let alone a whole year ago!)
  • Your year-long photo album will be an amazing way to document your travels and accomplishments, your haircuts and relationships. Time moves surprisingly fast.
  • Taking a photo a day will make you a better photographer. Using your camera every day will help you learn its limits. You will get better at composing your shots, you’ll start to care about lighting, and you’ll become more creative with your photography when you’re forced to come up with something new every single day.

Tips on How to Do It

Here are six tips on how to create your own Project 365:

  1. Bring Your Camera Everywhere
Yes, everywhere. Get in the habit. Grocery stores, restaurants, parties, work, and school. Going to a movie theatre? Snap a pic of the flick with your phone–there are photo-ops everywhere. If you have one of those tiny tiny cameras, you have no excuse not to have it in your pocket all the time. And if you don’t? Camera phones are a great substitute.
  2. Make Posting Easy
You can install blog software like Movable Type or Wordpress on your own site and create an entry for each photo, but for true ease of use, try a photo sharing site. Flickr will let you post a week’s worth of photos in 2 minutes flat, and fotolog and are geared toward a photo-a-day workflow. Making it fast and easy means you’re much more likely to do it.
  3. Vary Your Themes
Try to capture the day’s events in a single photo. Perform photographic experiments. Take a photo of someone new you meet, something you ate for the first time, or something you just learned how to do. Take a photo of something that made you smile. And don’t forget to take a photo of yourself at least once a month so you can remember how you’ve changed, too.
  4. Tell a Story
Use your blog entry, or your photo description, to explain what’s going on in each day’s photograph. How good did that dinner taste? What made you want to take a photo of that stranger? It’ll help you remember down the road, and it gives friends following along a better appreciation of why you took the photo you did. You don’t need to write a lot, just enough to add some color.
  5. Don’t Stop, No Matter What
This is perhaps the most important tip of all. You will get tired of taking a photo every single day. Some days, you will consider giving up. Don’t. The end result is worth the effort. Remind yourself why you wanted to do it in first place.

There will be times you’ll think there’s nothing interesting left to take a photo of, and times you’ll think you didn’t do anything exciting enough to take a photo of. There’s always a great photo to be made.

Get out of the house and take a walk. Or stay inside and look around. Take a photo of something important to you. Take a photo of the inside of your house so you can see how your taste has changed over the years. Take a photo of anything, just don’t stop.

N.b. It helps if you’ve told your friends about the project and asked them to follow along. Their encouragement will keep you going!

  6. Post early, post often
Plan on going through and posting your photos at least once a week so you don’t get backlogged and feel overwhelmed. Ideally, post every day or two. Again, spend the time up front to make sure it’s quick and easy to post. It’ll make all the difference.

Sounds good, I guess. Should I or should I not try to do this project, I wonder?

I'm too lazy now.

So, videos instead. Awesome song by Mika Nakashima.

Enjoy! =)

This is ridiculous. I'm gonna be up for like 24hours straight in less than four hours. I feel strangely nocturnal. Tell me, Mommy, was I born a rodent or something.

Ignore the hardly sane person here.

I feel fine and not the least sleep-deprived.

Weird, much?

Shoot, I have Martin tomorrow. I need to sleep.

Or else I'll nod off like what I did this morning during the PPDa 'ceramah' thingamajig.

Choo-choo Train.

No fear, my post has absolutely nothing to do with trains or smoke or whatever. Just a random title, in the usual style. Strange enough, I remember playing an electone piece with the title 'A Comical Train' back in grade 9 circa 2002. Hmm. I MIGHT just dig out my old music books and play that seriously cute song again :D

Anyway, it's the holidays again. Will be in serious working mode because I have a bunch of projects and homework to finish up. Adding to my burden is the need to browse through numerous tomes all on whatever historical building I decide to write up on. Sigh, all the things that we pitiful students have to endure to get good marks!

Pictures, as usual. Any blog post of mine feels empty and incomplete without all those pixels.

Updates on my bookaholicism.

I've been wanting to read the Devil Wears Prada since the movie came out. I bought the two in one book because I'm a cheapo like that.

'Cause NO ONE was kind enough to take pity on me and buy me a book from my wishlist. I love the Princess Diaries series, but I hate the cover on this one. For some weird unknown reason they stopped printing the books with the really nice covers, y'know, the one with Mia and Fat Louie on it. So I settled for this one, book 9! Buy me the rest, people!!

Read 'Uglies' by Scott Westerfield last week after borrowing it from the school library. Excellent stuff, I must say. Normally I hate sci-fi books but this one is okay! Bought the second book, 'Pretties' at MPH with the book above. Someone get me 'Specials' and 'Extras', PLEASE?

In case you're wondering why three of the four books above are still wrapped in their protective plastic, it's because I'm not allowed to read them until the holidays commence. However, I've ripped off the one on 'Princess Mia' because I was too eager. Planning to read 'Pretties' during the March holidays and save the 2-in-1 book for after PMR.

Since I was bored in school, I did this...

Yes, she is :D

Okay, I'm signing off now.

Vandalized Desks Alert.

Pfft, had random vandalizing session with the lovebirds Kim and Jo today -_- now my dear desk has the word YAOI! :D on it. Credits to Kim. Covered it with random paper to avoid it being spotted by our Civic teacher. Hmmph.

Took some macro shots last month. Here.

Kay-E, do you remember this? :D
