Put Your Hands Up.

Currently listening to : Hands Up by 2PM.

This was supposed to be my Day 4 post for the letter challenge, but NST's S-I-R is in less than 12 hours and I've just found myself doing something I never thought I'd do: reading an indexed list of phobias and attempting to memorize their spelling.

Oh God. Wish me luck.
I'll be running on adrenaline tomorrow :s

Day 3 - Your parents.

Dear Mummy and Daddy,
(yes, I still call my parents that even though I'm almost 17, I think it's cute :))

There are no words to describe how much I love you. If it weren't for the both of you, I wouldn't be here. Thank you for creating and giving me life.

I'm sorry if I've made your lives difficult, with my typical teenage mood swings, crazy stress spells and sometimes horrible academic results.I'm sure it wasn't easy to raise me, although I think as a child I was an extreme introvert and had an inexplicable fear of other kids my age -_-

Thank you, Mummy, for carrying the little me in your womb for 9 months and going through terrible labour pains to give birth to me. Thanks for cooking yummy food for me almost everyday. Thanks for listening to all my problems and giving me valuable advice. Thanks for shaping my fashion sense. Thanks for sending me to all those tuition classes. Thanks for constantly nagging me to study, or else I wouldn't have gotten rather good results all these years. Thanks for waking up early everyday to prepare breakfast for  me.

Thank you, Daddy for being my source of 'Vitamin M' :x Just kidding! Thank you for killing all those bugs that I'm afraid of and teaching me about computers. And even caving in to get me a webcam when I was like, 12. Thanks for not scolding me when I dropped my first camera and basically rendered it useless. Thanks for bothering to buy a new camera after the first one spoiled. Thanks for teaching me everything about politics. Thanks for sending me to school every morning.

I love you, Mummy and Daddy, no matter how many times you've scolded and lectured me, because I know everything you do is for my own good

, M.

Day 2 - Your Crush.

In terms of real-life crushes, I honestly don't have any at the moment, so don't be too disappointed, LOL :D
Instead, you'll have to settle for me gushing over my celebrity crush.

Dear Yong Jun Hyung (용준형),

You're the 2nd celebrity crush I've ever had (the first one being Heo Young Saeng from SS501, but he's too old for me, so he's out of my league *le sigh*). I know I'm just one out of your many, many fangirls, but hey, I can dream right? *delusional*  You're the first rapper I've liked, and although I still don't like rapping very much, I can somehow tolerate it a bit more. You're the reason why my deskmate, Xi Men always chooses to ignore me whenever I start fangirl-ing excessively.

Oh, and btw, I prefer your hair down and with a fringe, your hairstyle in Bad Girl was a tad weird :s
Just saying.

Everytime I listen to Far East's Movement's Like a G6, I sing Na Na Na, now I'm feeling so FLY like Yong Jun Hyung, haha :)

(photos and gif from various Tumblrs)

super freaking ♥, M.

Day 1 - Your Best Friend.

I'm not really sure if I have best friends, but I do know I have some really really good friends that I wouldn't trade for the world. So, this is for them.

Dear awesomesauce friend(s),

(via makemestfu)

I don't say this often enough but I'm so thankful that you're always there for me. You guys helped me through some of my roughest periods and supported my decisions. You always cheer me up when I'm down in the dumps or feeling anti-social. Thank you so much! :)

I'll never forget all those moments where we gathered at one table and talked about a whole lot of crap, ranging from Osama bin Laden to Lady Gaga to some really random topics that cannot be mentioned here because it would be extremely embarassing.

I'll always love you guys and I hope we'll still be in contact after we graduate from high school. I'm truly blessed to have friends like you guys.

I would put your photos here, but I'm too lazy at the moment, haha.

, M.

Currently listening to : Light Up the World by the Glee Cast. has reached another milestone! :D
250 posts in the span of 44 months. That makes it... 5.7 posts per month. Okay, that's... actually not a lot :| I don't think anyone reads this blog regularly other than Xi Men and I.  (yಠ,ಠ)y

I haven't been updating lately, because
  1. Trials is in 2+ months, so I'm supposed to be revising, not spending inordinate amounts of time online,
  2. I haven't been out and about recently, and
  3. I'm procrastinating. *cough*

The only reason why I'm even online, updating the blog at the moment is because it's the holidays and it suddenly occurred to me that my blog still exists :s

So, all that I've been doing during the holidays are (in no particular order):
  1. Getting my wisdom teeth extracted.
  2. Removing like, 10+ gigabytes from my laptop's hard drive.
  3. Being frustrated with Angry Birds (PC Version).
  4. Watching City Hunter and swooning over Lee Min Ho.
  5. Successfully finished learning how to play U-KISS's 0330 on the electone.
  6. Failing my Grade 5 electone examinations -_-"
  7. Killing insects (who seem to love my room, btw).
  8. Getting a haircut.
  9. Organizing all my stuff.
  10. Studying (oh, so nerdy, but yes.)
My life is very exciting, indeed.

So, since getting my wisdom teeth extracted was pretty much the highlight of my entire holidays, I am going to blog about it, despite the fact that I think I should blog about something awesome for my 250th post.

---(you're welcome to skip this section if you hate blocks of text/ mildly gory descriptions)---

I extracted my teeth last Tuesday, on the 31st of May. I had to extract my wisdom teeth because they were apparently pushing my other teeth, therefore pushing my lower jaw outwards and pretty much decreasing the efficiency of my braces. I was supposed to extract them a month ago, but I had to postpone it due to school.

So, before my operation, I took my lunch - Nasi Lemak with Sotong Sambal - at Chawan, knowing full well that it was going to be pretty much the last good-tasting food that I'll be able to consume before I suffer for the week after the operation. With lunch out of the way, the nurses at the dentist's got me to swallow some painkillers and antibiotics while waiting for my turn in the chair of horror.

I would be lying if I told you that I wasn't nervous. I've extracted 4 teeth before (due to braces), but this was my first time extracting my wisdom teeth, which is considerably larger than the teeth I've previously extracted. Soon enough, my turn rolled around and I had to get an X-ray of my teeth. After that, I made myself comfortable in the dentist's chair while staring at the X-ray image on the monitor.

Injections. It was the worst part of the entire process, because I hate needles. The fact that I couldn't see the needles exactly was slightly comforting though. The first jab on both sides and the jabs on the nerves near the tongue were the worst. My mouth was numb after that, so I had a bit of trouble rinsing my mouth.

The extraction itself hardly hurt, because of the anesthesia, so I don't have any complaints there. The sound of the drill was creepy and I could like, hear the cracking of the tooth when my dentist broke it into two. Other than that, the operation was smooth-sailing and quite relaxing (wth). After he extracted the teeth, my dentist stitched up the gaping holes and imo, it's quite interesting to watch the dentist sewing when you can't feel the needle at all, haha.

After the entire process, I got out feeling all dizzy and my mouth couldn't close, so I ended up stuffing tissues into my mouth to soak up the mixture of saliva and blood. I got about 4 different varieties of medicines to take and went back home.

I didn't take my dinner on that day, because I could hardly speak, let alone swallow food. My cheeks were swollen and the saliva wouldn't stop flowing (gross). The next day was better because the anesthesia finally wore off and I regained control of my mouth, thus allowing me to down some mashed potatoes. I couldn't eat anything that was hot and/or solid, so I sustained on mashed potatoes, cold porridge, juice and ice water for a few days. Believe me, it's not fun. My trips to the toilet practically quadrupled because of the increased intake of liquids. Plus, I may have boosted the sales of KFC's mashed potatoes because I ate like 6 tubs in the span of 7 days. The dentist also recommended ice cream, but I don't like ice cream, so that was a no-no for me.

Today I got my stitches removed within about 5 minutes. I can eat normally again! :D Hello, vegetables, I missed you~

Okay. I'm off to go chow some solid food. Tata.

110528 OiC Camp.

Date: 28th May 2011.
Venue: Taylor's University Lakeside Campus.

(Random sidenote: I think writing reports for Ed. Board is changing my blogging style, wth. I don't ever remember blogging details like the date and venue o_o)

So, a bunch of us went for this one day in campus event, hosted by Taylor's. It was SO MUCH FUN. But it was really tiring :|

Most of us took the bus from school, and we reached the campus by like, 9am? Got registered and started taking photos all over the campus because it had such a lovely environment.

Jakun-ing over the high ceilings.

The campus ♥

l-r: Xi Men, Kwai See, Rebecca, Ee Lin and yours truly.

Groupshot. Becky's eyes cannot be saved, but I'm posting this up anyway because it's nice.

With the huge Taylor's sign. At first, Ivy thought it was LOR'S only, hahah.

Starbucks has been taken over by a horde of SBU-ians! Hello, we gave them good business, ok.

In the gym for briefing and icebreaking.

So, after icebreaking we had this session called 'Race Around Campus'. I was in the same group as Xi Men, Claryson and Amirah :D SBU power, heheh. Anyway, our group was called 'Awesome-6'. Everybody's a bit quiet, but at least they're cooperative :)

After the race, everyone was pretty much tired. We got a break, thus, off we headed for lunch and random window shopping at Syopz. Shalini and I bought the same headband from TeleGift, so we were 'twins' for the rest of the day, hahah.

Random pic at the Syopz walkway.

Rahul kept going, "OMG it's so HOT!", thus ruining the photos -_-"

Mimicking the Prefectorial Board's Teachers' Day performance. Hmmm... I think we failed.

My 'twin' and I, hahahah.

On the staircase back to the gym.

For the second section of the day, we had our workshops! Most of us went for Fashion-Style-Impression.

The entire lift's passenger load was made up of SBU-ians :D

I ended up not writing anything down D:

Overall, the workshop was pretty good. For the first 15 minutes or so, we had this thing where you go around writing your first impressions of a particular person on his/her back. By the end of the time given, the SBU-ians went mad and just started writing a load of crazy stuff on each SBU-ian's back. We were... really high lol.

Our workshop ended late, about 20 minutes later than the scheduled time, so by the time we got to the amphitheater for the Rock Concert, it was already pretty full.

They performed songs like 'Price Tag' and 'Rolling in the Deep'.

Priya and Syazwan in some game called 'Proposal, Marriage & Divorce'.

Magic performance. Doesn't this look like some horrible S&M scene? Just sayin'.

'Love the Way You Lie' dance cover by Taylor's Dance Crew.

Hip-hop dancing?? Also by TDC.

At the very end, they announced the winners of the lucky draw... and no one from SBU won, wth. It has got to be a fluke because there were like 73 SBU-ians there :(

THE END. *faints*
(p.s. It was Kim's birthday on the same day! Happy (belated) birthday! :D)
